Lamborghini Miura Restoration Log

Week 25, 25 August 2007

Restoration, Week 25: We went to the body shop at the end of July to see the stripped chassis and body panels. The situation is pretty ugly, as we expected, and the bodywork process is going to be long and tedious. There is rust in the floors, transmission tunnel, front bulkhead, sills, and the various structural members for the bodywork, so basically everywhere. The car is in the capable hands of Franks and Arnold Zucchi, and at the moment, it is on faith that I believe the car will one day be beautiful and complete.

On the shop front, the new pistons and refurbished camshafts have arrived, and the machine work on the block and heads continues.
